Alpha's Guerrilla, how the novel was conceived and why it was written.

Why This Novel And From Where Did It Come?

I buried this in the middle of the novel, sneaky huh?

Chapter 7 explains how this novel ~ Alpha's Guerrilla ~ was conceived.

I had written a novel entitled "The King's 12" in 1993. Through a

business deal I had befriended a man in Florida and he came to know

about "The King's 12" ~ which I had published as an audio book. He

asked for a copy, which I sent him. He had loaned it to several friends

and his children had listened to it several times. Because of the nature of

the novel ~ They had the wrong conception about me ~ they thought I

was a very religious person which I was not and am not. I love God but

not religion ~ especially man-made religion.

At this point I have to explain that the novel "The King's 12" was

given to me by the Holy Spirit. The way that came about is quiet a story

within itself.

The name "Alpha" came from "THE KING'S 12."

Well, this friend had invited me down for business and a visit.

August, 1997, I was driving to Florida ~ It was Sunday morning and

it occurred to me that my new friends would ask me where I attended

church. It was always uncomfortable to explain that I did not attend

church because I always felt compelled to explain "why."

I knew God ~ I knew Jesus ~ I had seen many miracles and had many

prayers miraculously answered. I however had been failed by organized

religion ~ several times ~ several different denominations. As a result I

had fallen away ~ "backslid," as my Mother would say. I was separated

from God for 10 years. It was pure hell.

If man-made religion can cause me to fall away ~ that tells me there are

millions of people out there who hate religion and church for the same

reason. (Jesus called the Pharisees snakes)

Anyway I was praying as I drove and asked God how to answer when

anyone asked "which church I attended" ~ He said, "Tell them you're

Alpha's Guerrilla." Then God began to play the novel out in my mind ~

pictures ~ dialogue ~ the whole bit.

He then told me to point out to the members of man-made religions

that they were wrong and many people are badly hurt by the man-made

laws imposed in the name of God.

When I returned from Florida I wrote 10 chapters then I became

involved with a woman I had met there in Florida on that trip. She came

to Arkansas ~ you know the rest ~ I put the novel aside. She and I

separated. Several years passed...

God kept tugging at me to finish the novel ~ he finally convinced me

to finish it ~ You don't even want to know how he convinced me!

So there you have it!

I'm not really sure why God gave me these novels to write. I may

never know why... In this life.

I can tell you this... While writing these novels I became very close to

God... Beyond description!

I would like to point out ~ as you've probably already guessed ~ I'm

not a professional writer ~ I asked God "why he didn't get a true,

professional writer to do this" ~ He said, "because you'll do it and they

won't or can't."

Well why not me? After all Moses had a speech problem and he was

one of God's most famous spokesman! I really think God has a great

sense of humor.
