Question: Is Joel Osteen Preaching Gospel Or New Age Doctrine?

MY ANSWER:
New Age Doctrine - Straight From The Master - Norman Vincent Peale!

Olsteen (or Osteen), mixes Gospel Truth with New Age Doctrine. Only a person who is endowed with spiritual discernment may be able to identify it.

He preaches a "feel good" humanist doctrine that entraps even the most sincere seeker of God. He can't be accused of preaching over any body's head - that just may be his really strong factor - he's simple. So simple that this common denominator will work in ALL walks of life.

You have heard - we're being dumbed-down? Here's a prime example! He has all of the devices that entrap the common man... a beautiful sidekick (wife) and a typical family. He's the American Pie! He embellishes every mother's dream of a son-in-law, every girls model husband. Clean cut, funny, smooth... yeah, all the devices.

He doesn't embarrass anyone with the teachings of Christ! If you don't understand that last statement let me explain: Many "I-think-I-am" Christians are actually embarrassed by acknowledging Christ. You say you don't understand why? Neither do I but it is fact! Jesus even acknowledged this when he said, "If you are ashamed of me before men, I will be ashamed of you before My Father." (PARAPHRASED) Think about it - many people are ashamed or embarrassed to witness or tell their story. They feel a lot more comfortable in an environment that isn't too "churchy."

Be careful! He may just lure you straight into hell! Is it by design? Perhaps not by his design - he may not know who he serves. He strikes me as an innocent-type who could be misled and used by evil men with much greater intelligence and motives. As a matter of fact he could better be described as naive. He believes what he preaches - I'm sure! He's a Norman Vincent Peale parrot!

He uses just enough scripture to make his doctrine sound bible-based but it is pure humanism, founded in Positive Mental Attitude (PMA).

Last evening I heard him - on the one side he said; "when someone wrongs you, go on, forget it, don't carry it around with you and let it ruin your day." OKAY, I agree BUT In his next sentence he said; "If you wrong someone, forget it, don't carry it around and let it ruin the rest of your day." WRONG! Christ taught confession, repentance and asking forgiveness for your sins against HIM and others. Chip-Chip one little truth at a time - destroyed - soon you're a full-blown New Age Devil! Delivered by an innocent (appearing) little fellow in sheep's clothing. Don't let yourself be baby-eyed right into hell with humanist-based doctrine that has NOTHING to do with actual Christian doctrine.

This is only one small example... He teaches Positive Mental Attitude (PMA) and this appeals to all levels of wanna-be Christians. It can be your sure-fire ticket to hell.

The Apostle Paul Teaches us in the book of Corinthians that we are to rebuke a brother or sister in Christ when they sin against us so they can be corrected... Even bring them before the Elders.

To simply dismiss the transgression against you or others will not help the offender improve or see his/her faults... they'll just keep on sinning! If your child is rude,  abusive or cruel, are you going to be a good and responsible parent and correct the child? Are you going to punish the child - to teach the child the difference between right and wrong? If you don't, you're not a good parent!

BE CAREFUL! "FEEL GOOD" DOCTRINES WILL TAKE YOU TO HELL - BUT THEN AGAIN - IF YOU ARE A JOEL OSTEEN DISCIPLE - YOU PROBABLY DON'T BELIEVE IN HELL! YOU PROBABLY APPRECIATE THE FACT THAT HE DOESN'T MESS UP YOUR "FEEL GOOD" RELIGION WITH A BUNCH OF CHURCHY, JESUS STUFF.

Update-5-3-09. I watched Joel on TV this morning. I was amazed! He is becoming more obvious each time I watch his show.

This morning he preached one of the most human-inspired messages yet! He was talking about allowing God to exercise HIS revenge when someone crosses you. Osteen preached for over 15 minutes on those who have hurt you or crossed you, such as firing you from a job, etc... He gave several examples of how God will take out HIS revenge for you and promote you over the other person and allowing you to have the "last laugh!"

The most demonic message from hell, I have ever heard!

In other words; "If you will trust God, HE will do your dirty work for you." Osteen says that God will destroy those for you! In the first place... if that person does not belong to God there is a good chance that God will not "spank" that person. God chastises HIS own. If that person belongs to the "world," HE may not punish that person at all!

Pay careful attention... While it may be true that those who deal evil deeds may be corrected by the Lord, in this realm/life, you are not to take delight in it! Besides, you may have been wronged by people who are not of the Spirit of God and they skate free. This is not unusual, HE corrects HIS kids, not (necessarily) Satan's kids. You never know about this. Solomon had much to say about this phenomena!

It is only human that you will get pleasure from seeing your enemies brought down but that pleasure you enjoy is of Satan! You must not take delight in revenge even IF God is responsible for correcting the person. That is "human" and you are NOT supposed to delight in those "human" delights.

Osteen repeated this demonic message repeatedly. He spoke about those who do not believe he (Osteen) is of the right spirit. He said that those who have said bad things about him had better get used to it, because any channel they turn to on TV they are likely to see him... that is a paraphrase but very close to his exact words. He was encouraging people to enjoy getting the last laugh. THAT IS EVIL! He spoke of getting the last laugh a dozen times! There is no mistaking his intent or his message. This man speaks as one who is truly ignorant and evil! Surely he is not ignorant. He demotes God to the level of voodoo or witchcraft.

If you are reading this and do not understand what I am saying, you too, are in need of divine enlightenment. I am being very serious! If you do not understand that, when someone who disagrees with you, has bad things happen, and you give God credit for this and you delight in this, you are evil! Yes! EVIL! While it only human, it is evil! You are trying to rise above the evil nature of man... NOT DELIGHT IN IT!

You do not "use" God as a "tool" to allow you to have the "last laugh." That is God's justice but not for you to gloat over or enjoy! This is disturbing to me to see this being accepted by any person who is trying to live according to God's will. This is the way the occult use witchcraft and voodoo... God will allow you to go to hell for this! Make no mistake about it!

In years past I have seen "bad things" happen to people who have done bad things to me... but... I pray to not take delight in it or enjoy it! As I said, it is a normal reaction by a human... but human beings are evil by nature! That is why we seek the "born-again" or "saved" status, so we can break free of the human traits that cause us to miss the Kingdom of God. Or to say it another way; to avoid going to hell!

I listened to his entire sermon and I was shocked that even this teacher of false doctrine was arrogant enough to preach this sermon.

Be very careful if you have followed Osteen, or if you do not understand the message on this page... Be afraid, be very afraid!
