|The Only True Church
There Only One True Church Of Jesus?
true church... The church which hosts the Holy
Spirit. Many churches are purely humanist
organizations that are more akin to a private
country club or for families who are more
interested in social functions and ski trips than
for worshipping God and caring for the needy
people who are deprived and hungry. Many
thousands of unknowing people base their eternity
on man-made religions who are private clubs with
a religious twist. NOTHING MORE! Most churches
will simply confuse you as they have their own
purpose and agenda and that is to build their own
clubs and convince the members to support their
agenda. It's BIG BUSINESS! They tickle the
member's ears with that which they want to hear.
People demand a doctrine that gives them total
freedom to live as they please yet be promised an
eternal home in a make believe kingdom of joyful
bliss and prosperity. A fairy tale where wealth
and all of the material luxury is plentiful and
common. Jesus promised that when two or more
gather in his name that HE would be among them.
Jesus did not say that when a hundred or more
gather... In many towns there is not a hundred
people who host the Spirit. Many, if not most
church people have no idea what the Holy Spirit
truly is. I hope you will look into this
situation and earnestly pray for the Holy Spirit
to come into your life.
What Happens If You Receive
The Holy Spirit
If you are blessed and
receive the Holy Spirit, it is up to you as to
how seriously you treat this eternal, spiritual
status. You now belong to the True Church of
Jesus! At the moment you are Born of God, you
will know it for certain because you will feel it
and have a new understanding and outlook on God,
mankind and every aspect of your life will be
awakened. You can choke it out and cease to grow
but it will be deadly to your eternal Spirit.
Treat it as the finest, sweetest, gift that the
Creator can give. Very few people are chosen.
"The road is narrow and few will
Some people work and study
for years to receive the blessing while it
happens right away for many people. We're all
different and the teaching from our parents and
elders may have a tremendous bearing on our
spiritual future. It usually does!
There are members of the
True Church in every denomination and religions.
Man-made denominations and
religions are of man. Members of various
religions and denominations may be aware and feel
that something is not right as they keep on
church-surfing and looking for the truth. They
know something isn't right but they can't
identify the exact problem.... Others swear by
their man-made religions and are simply not
"chummed" by the Holy Spirit and will
die in their man-made doctrine. If you're not led
by the Spirit of God you will not know. You
cannot argue religion and bring anyone into the
True Church. The Spirit will lead them and you
may be the instrument that the Spirit uses to
enlighten someone but they must be led by The
Holy Spirit of God. Therefore the old adage:
"Never argue religion or politics"
holds true. You can state the truth but never
argue it or "badger" someone into
seeing things your way.
A Word About Tongues
Many people are mistakenly
taught that you must speak in tongues to be
"saved." WRONG! I'm not sure that I
have ever known a person who speaks in the true
tongue that was spoken on the day of Pentecost,
two thousand years ago. The unknown utterance
that Paul introduced in the book of Acts and
taught by the Pentecost Church of today is not to
be confused with the true tongue. The
"tongue" which was spoken by Peter that
day, 2,000 years ago was understood by those who
were intended to hear it without an
interpreter... this is the exact opposite of the
"utterance" introduced by Paul and
practiced by the tongues speaking churches today,
which require an interpreter to interpret the
unknown utterance. The typical tongues-talker of
today, has no knowledge of what they are saying
or to whom they are speaking. There may be a few
who claim they interpret their utterance but Paul
did not trust them and required an interpreter to
be present or the talker was instructed to sit
down and be silent... NOTHING LIKE THE ORIGINAL
TONGUE OF PETER'S DAY.
The purpose of this
explanation is not to debate or argue whether
"tongues" of today is a gift but to
explain the difference... the simple truth.
Three thousand people were
saved when Peter preached on the day of Pentecost
and these people were filled with the Spirit...
That was when the True Church was founded. Jesus
promised it and it came to pass. Jesus built HIS
church on Peter on that day we have come to know
as the day of Pentecost. It has nothing to do
with the Pentecost denomination. Read the first
two chapters below carefully, you should be able
to understand it.
If you host the Holy Spirit,
you belong to the True Church. It's that
simple... As long as you do not abuse it and are
not a tremendous hypocrite (we're all hypocrites
to some degree). Be sure to read the following
two chapters carefully and slowly.
Chapters One and Two of The
book of Acts
From The Living Bible
Dear friend who loves God:
In my first letter I told you about Jesus
life and teachings and how he returned to heaven
after giving his chosen apostles further
instructions from the Holy Spirit. 3 During the
forty days after his crucifixion he appeared to
the apostles from time to time, actually alive,
and proved to them in many ways that it was
really he himself they were seeing. And on these
occasions he talked to them about the Kingdom of
4 In one of these meetings he told them not to
leave Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit came upon
them in fulfillment of the Fathers promise,
a matter he had previously discussed with them.
5 John baptized you with water, he
reminded them, but you shall be baptized
with the Holy Spirit* in just a few days.
6 And another time when he appeared to them, they
asked him, Lord, are you going to free
Israel from Rome now and restore us as an
7 The Father sets those dates, he
replied, and they are not for you to know.
8 But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you
will receive power to testify about me with great
effect, to the people in Jerusalem, throughout
Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth,
about my death and resurrection.
2 Seven weeks had gone by since Jesus death
and resurrection, and the Day of Pentecost had
now arrived. As the believers met together that
day, 2 suddenly there was a sound like the
roaring of a mighty windstorm in the skies above
them and it filled the house where they were
meeting. 3 Then, what looked like flames or
tongues of fire appeared and settled on their
heads. 4 And everyone present was filled with the
Holy Spirit and began speaking in languages they
didnt know, for the Holy Spirit gave them
5 Many godly Jews were in Jerusalem that day for
the religious celebrations, having arrived from
many nations. 6 And when they heard the roaring
in the sky above the house, crowds came running
to see what it was all about, and were stunned to
hear their own languages being spoken by the
7 How can this be? they exclaimed.
For these men are all from Galilee, 8 and
yet we hear them speaking all the native
languages of the lands where we were born! 9 Here
we areParthians, Medes, Elamites, men from
Mesopotamia, Judea, Cappadocia, Pontus, Asia
Minor, 10 Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt, the Cyrene
language areas of Libya, visitors from
Romeboth Jews and Jewish converts 11
Cretans, and Arabians. And we all hear these men
telling in our own languages about the mighty
miracles of God!
12 They stood there amazed and perplexed.
What can this mean? they asked each
13 But others in the crowd were mocking.
Theyre drunk, thats all!
14 Then Peter stepped forward with the eleven
apostles and shouted to the crowd, Listen,
all of you, visitors and residents of Jerusalem
alike! 15 Some of you are saying these men are
drunk! It isnt true! Its much too
early for that! People dont get drunk by
9:00 a.m.! 16 No! What you see this morning was
predicted centuries ago by the prophet Joel
17 In the last days, God said,
I will pour out my Holy Spirit upon all
mankind, and your sons and daughters shall
prophesy, and your young men shall see visions,
and your old men dream dreams. 18 Yes, the Holy
Spirit shall come upon all my servants, men and
women alike, and they shall prophesy. 19 And I
will cause strange demonstrations in the heavens
and on the earthblood and fire and clouds
of smoke; 20 the sun shall turn black and the
moon blood-red before that awesome Day of the
Lord arrives. 21 But anyone who asks for mercy
from the Lord shall have it and shall be
22 O men of Israel, listen! God publicly
endorsed Jesus of Nazareth by doing tremendous
miracles through him, as you well know. 23 But
God, following his prearranged plan, let you use
the Roman government to nail him to the cross and
murder him. 24 Then God released him from the
horrors of death and brought him back to life
again, for death could not keep this man within
25 King David quoted Jesus as saying:
I know the Lord is always with me. He is
helping me. Gods mighty power supports me.
26 No wonder my heart is filled with joy
and my tongue shouts his praises! For I know all
will be well with me in death
27 You will not leave my soul in hell or
let the body of your Holy Son decay.
28 You will give me back my life and give
me wonderful joy in your presence.
29 Dear brothers, think! David wasnt
referring to himself when he spoke these words I
have quoted, for he died and was buried, and his
tomb is still here among us. 30 But he was a
prophet, and knew God had promised with an
unbreakable oath that one of Davids own
descendants would be the Messiah and sit on
Davids throne. 31 David was looking far
into the future and predicting the Messiahs
resurrection, and saying that the Messiahs
soul would not be left in hell and his body would
not decay. 32 He was speaking of Jesus, and we
all are witnesses that Jesus rose from the dead.
33 And now he sits on the throne of highest
honor in heaven, next to God. And just as
promised, the Father gave him the authority to
send the Holy Spiritwith the results you
are seeing and hearing today.
34 No, David was not speaking of himself in
these words of his I have quoted, for he never
ascended into the skies. Moreover, he further
stated, God spoke to my Lord, the Messiah,
and said to him, Sit here in honor beside me 35
until I bring your enemies into complete
36 Therefore I clearly state to everyone in
Israel that God has made this Jesus you crucified
to be the Lord, the Messiah!
37 These words of Peters moved them deeply,
and they said to him and to the other apostles,
Brothers, what should we do?
38 And Peter replied, Each one of you must
turn from sin, return to God, and be baptized in
the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of
your sins; then you also shall receive this gift,
the Holy Spirit. 39 For Christ promised him to
each one of you who has been called by the Lord
our God, and to your children and even to those
in distant lands!
40 Then Peter preached a long sermon, telling
about Jesus and strongly urging all his listeners
to save themselves from the evils of their
nation. 41 And those who believed Peter were
baptizedabout three thousand in all! 42
They joined with the other believers in regular
attendance at the apostles teaching
sessions and at the Communion services and prayer
43 A deep sense of awe was on them all, and the
apostles did many miracles.
44 And all the believers met together constantly
and shared everything with each other, 45 selling
their possessions and dividing with those in
need. 46 They worshiped together regularly at the
Temple each day, met in small groups in homes for
Communion, and shared their meals with great joy
and thankfulness, 47 praising God. The whole city
was favorable to them, and each day God added to
them all who were being saved.
There! You have it straight
from the word of God. Study it carefully and pray
